I understand the concern of many adults, that games shouldn't be played on a computer, but I also know that there are some amazing experiences to be enjoyed, through participation in today's interactive and multiplayer computer environments.

Nowadays, I don't get much chance to get involved in strategic games, such as the superb Civilization or Age of Empire types, but do enjoy the chance to relax with an odd blast-'em-up, in the doom ?, quake ? , duke-nukum ?, unreal and half-life traditions. 

I've recently finished, and enjoyed, Gunman Chronicles ? and, although it took me a while to get used to the controls, I am now enjoying the experiences of Max Payne ? , especially since fitting a Geforce 3 grahics card.   

A game of Links 2003, computer Golf, is mandatory for most Saturday nights,
Bob Harris, on Radio 2, in the background and a couple of nice bottles of red wine,
helps to provide a fine end to any stressful week.
Fortunately, my dear wife, Sylvia, now plays to such a standard
that I get fewer elbow-digs... when her shots are fluffed :-)
