An Early Mission Statement

It's one that I put together in the early throes of Web Exploration,
back in 1996 but still sums up most of my current thoughts.

The many fascinating developments that have emerged since the introduction of

Windows'95
To Microsoft

have merely confirmed my concern that most home computer users are unaware of how much knowledge and pleasure is available...

Now,

as the digital revolution adds superb sounds and vision through quality PC components, offering fast Home computer processing power at realistic consumer prices,

in readiness for the impact of the Internet,

as envisioned by the www what more can you say| consortium.

To Intel

PC's are fun.

I remain convinced that there is a need for a

Community Communications Centre

to be set up in all large conurbation's. A coffee house environment, rich aroma, hissing percolators and idle chatter, or licensed premises, allowing customers to gain confidence in using Windows'95, experiencing well stocked computers and exploring the Internet, in a relaxed atmosphere, paying for time at the terminal and refreshments while gaining full hands-on access to a range of quality commercial programs offering the three core components of a modern PC system.

Seeing the impact of the exciting developments within the PC industry, from the perspective of another leading edge technology

has given me a deeper insight into the parallel paths of providing a variety of images to a screen, in the home, and led to the synergy that strengthens my concept of what's happening with today's Multimedia Home Experience.

Whilst I have been experimenting and experiencing the developments in multimedia use, I have been trying to understand modern modem use and I've been enjoying the superb conferencing system that is offered by the

To Cix Organisation,

and made simple with the Ameol off- line reader, to follow the myriad of thoughts that are downloaded daily and have so far been pleased with their developments.

I've also stayed with Microsoft, following the MSN ? beta test, to see how they would grasp the 'Net and I also run an account with CompuServe, as I need to see what the "free disk" companies are up to.

The lessons learned so far, dealing with technological leaps and bounds, from prototype to obsolescence with each new satellite launch, has taught me to be cautious, yet I am now prepared to promote a product range historically riddled with incompatibilities and obsolescence but which are about to have come of age, a firm base and a common standard with which to create the technology of the next millennium upon.
