drove to Lindos

gave up on the beach parking
and drove past Lindos
to park on the other side
much easier

visited the 15th Century
Church of St. Mary
with its wonderful frescoes

then we headed off
to the Lindos taxi rank

which took us up the hill
to the Hospitallers fortress

back in Lindos Town
we enjoyed a stroll
around the twisty lanes

the 4th Century B.C.
acropolis within the fortress
was undergoing major renovation

but the view was stunning

and took a nice snack

on the rooftop
at the Afroditi Restaurant

before heading back to the car
visited a few fine beaches

worked out why this beach area
is known as

on the way to Faliraki
where our Son and his friends were staying

'the party resort'

back to the hotel
was our common thought

ready for a nice meal
and a wander into Rhodes Old Town

we succumbed
and stayed late
but felt comfortable
people watching

late again
ready for a good day ahead
