my belief in 'Trust' has been strained...
but not lost
, finding that True Friends are there when you need them.

Sunday
1st October
Stuff
has been avoided
and the discomfort of my body
still seems to have created a nice space for my future.

Monday
2nd October
Sarah
& Lee arrived & invited me to a nice meal at Revolution
which turned out to be 'Free'
as it took longer than the promised 15 minutes (by seconds)
before we met Howard and then (Son-in-Law) Mark,
a strange day.
Tuesday
3rd October
Shocked
to hear from Sarah & Lee that her Mother
had had enough of her Daughter and evicted her
and remembered my ex-lover's inconsistencies regarding Trust.
Wednesday
4th October
The
painter\decorators arrived early in the morning
before Sarah & Lee popped in and I felt her pain and sadness
but was happy that she knew I would be there to help her through.
Thursday
5th October
The
Window Lady arrived early to measure the kitchen spaces
and, while i would have liked to revisit the Woody,
enjoyed a long soak in a healing bath.
Friday
6th October
The
central heating guy arrived early
before the leaking roof guys
before I established my little garden space.
Saturday
7th October
Called
into the library and picked up a copy of Steppenwolf
and made time to read again
and wondered at what Ingrid's life had offered
since she introduced me to the book, in the early '70s
and hope that she achieved her musical ambitions.
Tuesday
10th October
Tangled
cobwebs cloud remembrances
as I forge future fabrics
from my many pages of experience
that have brought me
intact
in fact
short stories
past
shaping nurturing icons
of me
skeletal sufferings
seeking solace
in the new space
that is my space
knowing friends
lost associates
thankfully
moving on
finding new friends
finished ponderings
moving on
new directions
lost fortunes
honest acceptings.
Thursday
12th October
Enjoyed
sharing some local pubs with Sarah & Lee
and enjoyed conversation in the Shropshire
but felt comfortable in the Pied Bull.
Sunday
15th October
Enjoyed
the ambiance of the Pied Bull again.
Friday
20th October
Roger
picked me up and we revisited Tattenhall, 25 years on,
after a brief visit to the Pheasant and my awayday Mother,
we called in on an old friend of mine, his Sister Pam,
and after I failed to fix her PC, while she kindly prepared a meal,
we then enjoyed a revisit to the Sportsman and the Letters
before parking his car and visited his local, the Rake & Pikle
where we enjoyed a game of Pool and Domino's
and it was well into the morning before my God-Daughter's boyfriend
ensured that I got home safely.
Saturday
21st October
Accepted
Sarah & Lee's invitation for a meal and enjoyable evening
and was pleased at how much I enjoyed the live music
of Rigsby's Cat and the special promotion of Newcastle Ale in the Oaklands.
Monday
23rd October
Sarah
popped in in the afternoon and after chatting
we went and met Lee after his first day, working for Slaters,
before a deep chat in the Shropshire Arms for much of the evening.
Tuesday
24th October
Enjoyed
sharing a superb evening with Cousin Pete
at a double 3rd by the St. Ansalm's Team
before we moved to the Stanley Arms and a stagger home.
Friday
27th October
Paranormal
John popped in and kindly dropped me off at Ian M's house
but found that my neglected car had a flat battery
before I walked to Ralph J's house to help with his new PC
from where he gave me a lift to the Committee meeting
before a visit to the Woody.
It
was nice to be back among old friends, maybe a visitor
and I enjoyed chatting with Ian N, Nick M, Scotty, Little Brian and Tony
A
but it was a bit of a stagger as Marion kindly drove me home.
Monday
30th October
Sarah
popped in and we worked on her CV and accompanying letter
for a job that I'm confident she would be good at
before we met Lee from work and got into another deep conversation in
the Shropshire.
