Sunday
1st April
The skin problem was still aggravating, but not as bad,
as I overcame a bit of a hangover
throughout Lee's visit
and Holly's arrival
as I prepared for my Chapter Meeting later
and pondered on whether I could really agree with suicide.
Monday
2nd April
Accompanied Sally to see her Consultant
and picked up a couple of leaflets
on Talking Therapy and Cognative Behavioural Therapy
before a superb Chapter Installation Meeting in the evening
which went to plan
and finished early enough to enjoy a glass of wine next door with Sally
before pondering more on my return home.
Tuesday
3rd April
Met Molly in the evening
and was pleased to offer my assistance
as a Member of the Committee for the Chester Branch of the Samaritans.
Wednesday
4th April
Relaxed through a badskin day.
Thursday
5th April
Lee popped in at lunchtime and invited Sally & I out for a bite-to-eat
and, after a brief visit to a smokey Boot, we enjoyed a nice meal
at the The Watergate before being joined by Sarah in the Temple Bar
before Wes and Des
joined us as beer flowed
till sally did a strop and disappeared
and, after a visit to the supermarket for sustenance,
Sarah, Lee and I found Sally at home
and much discussion flowed
as did the wine.
Friday
6th April
Popped round to Sally's on waking
and shared a fishy meal later
despite groggy heads.
Saturday
7th April
Went with Sally to Aunty Dot's house, where Mother was picking her Sister up,
and I drove us all up to Mum's cottage for afternoon tea
before Sally & I had to visit my Sister, Margaret, down the road,
and I enjoyed opening her Christmas present to me
before my nephew Simon
drove Sally & I to Tattenhall
and it was interesting waiting outside my old home at no.9
for the bus home and, on our arrival back in Chester, we took the
opportunity
to imbibe some more liquid anaesthetic
in the Pied Bull.
Sunday
8th April
Exchanged Easter greetings with Sally
before I enjoyed chilling with my little garden
and shared a lovely meal, and Pied Bull visit, with Sally, later.
Monday
9th April
Sally & I met Tara & Pravin at their car before we drove to Gawsworth Hall
for a Holistic health show and a tour of the Hall, which was lovely,
and after our return, Sally & I enjoyed a meal and a chat in the Pied Bull.
Tuesday
10th April
Had a relaxing badskin day.
Wednesday
11th April
Took my camera round to Tara's closed shop
and took some images of wedding dresses
and enjoyed fending-off questions later
as Sally & I enjoyed a chat in the Pied Bull.
Thursday
12th April
Went to Dial House and received some good support in filling in a DWP form.
Friday
13th April
Sarah popped in and we met Sally's friend Derek, and his Grandson Ben,
and we accompanied them, and Holly, to a riverside cafe for tea and ice-cream later
before we all called on Tara's shop to throw ideas around in the empty spaces
and afterwards, on our way back to the Square,
Sally & I paused awhile in the Pied Bull to Memory Map the Welsh Project.
Saturday
14th April
Sally joined me in a gamble on the Grand National, her first ever bet,
and because we liked the names, we placed a £2 each way bet each
and it was such a pleasure to see the happiness as Sally's horse, Silver Birch,
won the race and
produced a win of £100... which led to a celebration
with Tara in Duttons for a meal in the evening and a passing call on the Pied Bull later.
Sunday
15th April
Tony A popped in, after purchasing his new-fangled Laptop,
and I enjoyed exploring Windows Vista
before enjoying a quiet ointment evening.
Monday
16th April
Sally popped out to buy me a thong
prior
to, at long last, starting my first lot of UVB Light Treatment
at the Countess Hospital before moisturising over a glass of wine with Sally later.
Tuesday
17th April
Treated the skin to more moisturising lotions.
Wednesday
18th April
Had to have my hair controlled and was content with the trim at Hinton Bliss
before Sarah popped in, excited, at getting promoted to Assistant Manager at Old Harkers Arms
and I enjoyed a happy chat with Sally in the Pied Bull later.
Thursday
19th April
Went for the second Zap of light treatment at the hospital
before Sarah & Lee arrived to put some things on E-Bay, over a glass of wine,
before I did a 'spag-Bol' for us all, prior to a Pied Bull 'Quiz Night'.
Friday
20th April
Wearing my tux', escorted Sally, in posh frock, through the City centre,
to a superb 'Ladies Night' with Cousin Pete and Tracy
and felt very comfortable walking Sally back home later.
Saturday
21st April
Popped across the road to Dionne's and helped her with a PC problem
before a very long soak in ointments
as the skin tightens in reaction to the light treatment.
Sunday
22nd April
Focussed the mind and rose in the morning
to accompany Sally on a 6 MILE Charity walk
and was proud when we both eventually finished
and was happy to share a drink at the end with Cousin Pete & Tracy
before another long soak in the bath later.
Monday
23rd April
Went for another Zap at the Hospital
and called in to see Chris M in his shop
before another long soak later.
Tuesday
24th April
Enjoyed a super First at St. Anselm's
before a few retired to the Stanley Arms
and I walked home in the rain with a stagger.
Wednesday
25th April
Felt a bit rough as I chatted with Sally's Son, Gav, at midday,
but was more comfortable, by the evening, when Paranormal John popped in
and relaxed with Sally over a glass of wine later.
Thursday
26th April
Ian M popped in unexpectedly and it was great to hear
how much he had enjoyed seeing his Sons again in the 'States
and Lee popped in to see if their had been any Bids on E-Bay
before I went to hospital for another Zap
before a quiet night in front of the TV.
Friday
27th April
Attacked the backlog of E-mails, some 600 spams a day not helping,
and, reacting to concerned E-mails from Friends Afar,
managed to focus on getting the last Months of this Diary updated.
Sincere apologies for the tardy updating of late
but will get back to a regular updating soon.
Saturday
28th April
Met Sally in the City centre and enjoyed sharing the shopping
before I luxuriated in a long soak in ointments
before Sally & I enjoyed a visit to the Pied Bull
where we were pleased to chat with Allan 10, another member of the square,
and I later pondered on where my Mind can lead.
Sunday
29th April
Took Sally for a quiet drink in the 'Bull in the evening, after Holly had visited her for the day.
Monday
30th April
Just a badskin day and another Zap.
