Tuesday
1st May
Sally and Dionne popped in after their Yoga training
and it was interesting to put my invisible finger to my lips
as I endeavour to listen more as I explore my mind trainings.
Wednesday
2nd May
Sally & I popped into the Pied Bull late evening
and had a pleasant listen to the Karaoke entertainment
as we pondered what happens next.
Thursday
3rd May
Zap day and a last hour in the 'Bull.
Friday
4th May
Accompanied Sally to the Hospital to see her Cancer consultant.
Saturday 5th May
Holly visited her Mum, so I suggested we visit the visiting Fairground
and it was a nice day, especially when I saw a Mum and Daughter happy together,
but 5 times on Holly's favourite ride shook-up my back a bit.

Sunday
6th May
Took Sally for a quiet drink at the 'Bull, after Holly's Father had picked her up.
Monday
7th May
Sarah kindly popped in with two tickets for the Chester Races on Friday
and it was nice to see Sally happy as she chatted about dresses and hats with Sarah
and the day ended pleasantly with a quiet Bank Holiday drink in the 'Bull.
Tuesday
8th May
Went for my Zap and both the Nurse and I were happy with the Skin's improvement
which was compounded by a long relax in the bath
as I read through more anchoring teachings later.
Wednesday 9th May
Placed a small long-shot bet on, that Sally had been given a few nights back in the 'Bull,
and it came in first, much to Sally's pleasure,
allowing ourselves to
treat with a nice meal
and it was nice to escort Sally and Dionne later into the 'Bull.
Thursday 10th May
Another Zap and Lotions day.
Friday 11th May
Picked up a copy of Derren Brown's Tricks of the Mind from the Library
before Sarah & Lee arrived to treat Sally & I to a Champagne breakfast
before a lovely day at Chester Races.

and a visit to the Oakland for something to eat in the evening

before Sally & I ended the day with a last pint in the 'Bull...
and I was really pleased to see Brian P upon our walking in,
who had also been to the races,
as he had thought to pop into my new local to say Hello,
and compare it with the Woody's companionship.
Saturday 12th May
Sally joined me to cast scorn on the Eurovision Song Contest voting.
Sunday 13th May
After a bad attack of her hot flushes
Sally enjoyed a day's bed rest
but managed to
join me for a quiet drink at the Pied Bull later.
Monday 14th May
Had a hospital Zap, up to 8 minutes now,
before a superb SRIA meeting in the evening
and was back early enough for a last pint in the 'Bull with Sally.
Tuesday 15th May
Dionne popped in, after her Yoga session,
concerned over Sally's missed lesson
and her unwillingness to see or talk to anybody.
Wednesday 16th May
Accompanied Sally for her Mammogram at the Hospital
before
my first "Friends of the Samaritans" Committee meeting,
before Sally&I went to Karaoke at the ' Bull in the evening
but I was afterwards concerned sufficiently to move Sally into my bed later, as a Gentleman would.
Thursday 17th May
The hot flushes continued to burn inside
and Sally stayed in bed,
while I went for a Zap,
and through the rest of the day and night
and I felt helpless but happy to be a support.
Friday 18th May
A day drowned in my skin's lethargy, apart from when checking on Sally.
Saturday 19th May
I was pleased to see Sally get up for her meeting with Tara
but disconcerted by the retreat to bed afterwards
and later found that wrapping Sally up in a bath towel helped ease her discomfort
Sunday 20th May
Getting a bit concerned at the flushing discomfort
that Sally is experiencing and withdrawing from
as she loses her sparkle.
Monday 21st May
Got Zapped and looked after Sally.
Tuesday 22nd May
Looked after Sally
Wednesday 23rd May
Looked after Sally.
Thursday 24th May
On one of my 'cup of tea' moments.
I glanced a relaxed face and hoped her thoughts were
away with the fairies that she surrounds herself with when well.
and I couldn't open the letter to me from the DWP,
before I went off for another ZAP at the hospital
and grumbled at late buses as I concerned over Sally
but was pleased with my new perspective of her illness.
Friday 25th May
Popped across the road to have a chat about the web presence for the Friends of Samaritans
before getting more gobbledegook from my duff ex-Solicitors,
who's ineptitude has dropped me into trouble with the DWP,
but had to bring in Sally's Support Team... when Sally felt bad enough
to tell me that she must be mad, a false premise, and needed professional help...
and I was pleased with the confirmation of this blokes menopausal understandings
when Linda one and her Colleague failed to get any communication from Sally,
but I was able to hear
brief words and she took a bit of soup later.
Saturday 26th May
Got up early, when the alarm clock rang,
sort of, and was awake for the Support Team's
early morning visit,
and a late afternoon visitor. and I was pleased that Sally
has trusted me, no secrets, and I was able to answer the Team's questions,
knowing that anything I know will only be
used to help Sally get better
as I hope that I can be part of her getting better soon.
Sunday 27th May
Linda 2 popped in to see Sally and I enjoyed explaining the Enneagram stream
where some people just cross without thinking, some will help others cross
while some will stand at a crossing point, pointing proudly, while some will
go deep into the flowing aqua and perform their water ballet
as some observe the coming and goings
of those that avoid the deeper waters
and huddle together as they await the H&S approved ferry
that avoids the playful folk who frolic and splash from the tree dangling rope
as the jocks swim against the tide while others float peacefully past.
Monday 28th May
Slept late and didn't hear the phone
but today's Sally Support, Jan,
rang the bell
to awaken me when she popped in to check on
Sally
but Sally was still somewhere else and uncommunicative
and eating less
and,
after a brief flit out for provisions,
I was pleased to listen to the full CD by Jack Savoretti later
which I had encountered late last night, while aimlessly TV channel changing,
and I was happy with his influences but I know that I should listen to words more.
Tuesday 29th May
While the Support Team are unable to get any communication going,
I can still perceive the subtle nods and shakes when I offer liquids to Sally
and I smile when she blows a kiss in return through the empty space.
Wednesday 30th May
Jo, arrived again in the morning, and it was clear that Sally still needed to see
Dr. Davidson and Linda one to talk and diagnose later, after I'd nipped out for Zap (9 mins),
and I was pleased
that Sally & I were able to walk
across the square to the waiting Ambulance,
although the ambulance man wasn't enamoured by the girly pink case that I'd hastily packed,
and, after accompanying Sally through the Beech Ward procedures towards Room 3,
walked to the bus stop thoughtfully through the cleansing rain, happy that Sally has good support,
and I took a quite ponder pint again in the Pied Bull later as I tried to
focus.
Thursday 31st May
Went to the Countess Hospital to see Sally in the evening visiting time
but was sad that the staff felt there was point in me seeing her
as she was so uncommunicative
but I eventually managed to get a few minutes with her, as I took in pictures of her children,
and I was
proud of her when she blew a kiss as I left, witnessed by a surprised nurse
who also smiled, and I'm hopeful that I will be able to pop in and see her again tomorrow.
