Monday 5th June

I arrived at the house at 2.50 am,
sleepy Sarah let me into the emptied space
and, after she and Lee
tried a relaxing cup of tea, wakening
we three left for the airport.

Arrived at 3.50, in time for the 4.15 check in

10.30 am, Monday 5th
Received a phone Text...

'arrived safely in Amsterdam
and tent is up'

Tuesday 13th June

We are both doing great,
we left Amsterdam after 4 days
and managed to survive
a 10 hr train journey to... PRAGUE...

Well, what can I say... it is great here, postcards should be on their way soon,
we have taken loads of pics
and will send a memory card later.

We are staying in a hostel at the moment and are v lucky because, although it's
v noisy, building works start at about 6am...
it is right in the centre of town and you can walk to all the main sights in about 5 mins.

We are off to Vienna tomorrow,
staying in a camping ground 20 mins
from the city and it has wireless internet facilities yeah...

I mentioned to Lee today that it has struck me that we seem to doing a cultural tour of Europe... but I'm enjoying it so much.

I can't wait to see Vienna and most of all the works of Klimt... although seeing the works of Van Gogh wasn't bad... so hopefully should be able to catch up again in the next couple of days.

Tuesday 20th June

Well, we have had a great time in Vienna
but the internet 'hot spot' at the camp site isn't so hot!!!

We are off to Slovenia tomorrow,
which apparently is a small version of Prague
plus it's on our way to Croatia.

Friday 30th June

Everything is going well, we are now in Croatia and we are going to travel
along the coast and see where we end up. We are in Pula at the moment,
it's very nice... but very hot.

We are staying in a campsite, by the beach,
but the facilities are very basic
but with the view we have... who cares.

Missing everyone 'today', on my Birthday.

Wednesday 12th July

Lee phoned from Chester, milliseconds
of concern before he clarified that his visit was temporary, for his Grandma's Funeral
and I phoned Sarah to ensure all was well
in Split, and was happy with our chat.

Monday 24th July

Hi Dad,  well we are in Dubrovnik at the moment and it is really nice, you would love it, and we are off to Corfu on Thursday, via Bari in Italy, and then the fun really starts with our adventure around Greece.

Monday 17th July

Lee popped in briefly, accompanied
by his friend, and I enjoyed hearing
of his confidence building travels with Sarah, before he rejoins her tomorrow,

Tuesday 1st August

Just a little message from Corfu,
as we've booked our flights and we are off
to Athens for a couple of days
before going to Naxos.

Oh, by the way, had to buy a new camera the duct-tape holding the old one together kept melting in the heat.

Tuesday 5th August

Well we are now in Athens and this place has surprised me, I love it, it took us a while to get back up to the speed of city life but when we first got into the centre and saw the Acropolis... I was just dumbstruck, we went up there yesterday morning before the tours start !! and it was so nice.

I'm so pleased that we managed to see it. We are off to Naxos tomorrow and we start to get a real taste of island hopping.
